Personal Training

Personal trainer

Most of us have never thought that we need a personal trainer but the benefits of one are well under rated. Have you ever been a member at a gym and come in to do your normal routine and been sick of it? Do you ever feel intimidated at the gym because you think you may be doing something wrong and everyone is watching? Have you ever been in the gym and gone up to a machine and not known if you are supposed to work your arms or your foot on it? Have you stopped going to the gym altogether because you just weren’t getting the results you wanted? I can relate to all these things and I can also see the argument that personal trainers are a waste of time (believe me I have seen some rubbish ones). But if you can relate to any of the above and many more similar scenarios, I could not stress the importance of a great personal trainer enough. It is my view that people under rate the importance of their health nowadays and I believe that it is not something to be taken lightly.

The use of a personal trainer is still perceived to be a luxury item but would a trip to the doctors be a luxury item? Why should a preventative be seen as anything other? Why would you wait for a heart attack when you could prevent it ever happening?

Most people are not self motivated enough to train harder and more regular by themselves. I consider myself a great personal trainer but I still have a PT when I train. It is far more motivating when you have someone that you are accountable to. I do however understand that the cowboy PT’s out there have messed things up and it is my goal and I hope the goal of new up-coming PT’s to change this misconception of the industry.
